A special cultural attraction in Zossen is the Kulturkraftwerk (Culture Power Station), which is used as youth and culture centre.
A dream came true for the chairman Holger Krause of the Kulturkraftwerk e.V., when the former electricity plant in Zossen could be turned into a youth and culture centre.

Property and building negotiations got in the way of the plan as well as subsidies or the decision between the location in Wünsdorf or Zossen.
But this Kulturkraftwerk idea could still be implemented with a lot of dedication and negotiations with authorities and construction companies turned out well in the end.

The Kulturkraftwerk in Zossen now attracts youngsters. Some have moved into the living quarters and wil be cared for. The former turbine hall serves as the culture hall and can be used for different events.
The facility itself now belongs to the Zossen's new townscape and the region is being enhanced bit by bit through the organiser of the culture scene, as for example kayak hire, beach volleyball, open-air cinema, events, concerts and lots more.
