The Garnisonsmuseum Wünsdorf introduces you to the military past in the areas Zossen-Wünsdorf-Zehrendorf.
Here were built:
an army training area, the main storage and the infantry-shooting school
the war and prisoner-of-war camp
the military physical education facility
the homecomer-camp Zossen and the Berliner school hostel
the tank weapon
nee barracks and residential complexes
the news bunker "Zeppelin" and the facilities "Maybach" I and II for the army's supreme command
Wünsdorf developed from 1945 to 1994 to the centre of the Soviet troops in Germany
The Wünsdorfer Garnisonsmuseumförderverein e.V. presents three exhibition:
at the "Garnisonsmuseum", a restored horse stable from imperial times, the period from 1913 to 1945
at the "House of Book and History" the "Russian Soldier's everyday Life" with many photos, documents and everyday items
at the air-raid tower No. 13 in the building style "Angles" the "Secret of the Wünsdorfer Concrete Cigars".
Our society is looking and interviewing contemporary witnesses from all periods. We are researching the military facilities and are constantly looking for documents of all kinds. Maybe you can help or want to contribute?
